Thai Day Spa reception — black desk, orchid, warm low light

The Practice

Trained to the standard. Present in the room.

The Fresha and Bookwell listing says it plainly: "a team of well trained and hospitable therapists who know exactly how to relieve your body from stress." That's not marketing copy — it's the through-line of more than a decade on Johnston Street.

Traditional Thai therapeutic massage is methodical, pressure-informed work. Aromatherapy layers a different quality of touch. Couples sessions are on the menu, as is waxing. Cupping and facial massage round out the practice — worked by hands that have been at it for more than a decade.

Thai Day Spa business card — a white lotus above the wordmark and the line Massage · Waxing · Spa · Facials

Their Card

Four words under the lotus: massage, waxing, spa, facials. No tiers to decode, no invented language — the same four the menu still runs on, and the little azure pin dropping onto the word that names the place.

"Good thorough Thai massage."

Justine, Bookwell review
Treatment room — green-draped table, gold Thai silk hangings, warm lamp
Massage bed dressed in orange-red Thai-print fabric with a folded-towel lotus
Treatment-table detail: candle burner, lotus, massage oils and blue glass stones
Treatment-table detail from a second angle — candle, lotus and oil pumps

The Space

The air goes still when you walk in.

Gold-and-red Thai silk on the walls. An orchid on the cabinet. Warm lamp glow through a dim room. The reception is set up to take you somewhere before the session starts.

218 Johnston Street sits in Fitzroy — inner-north Melbourne, independent shops, galleries, a busy strip. The spa is the quiet inside the noise: a fixed point on the map that has been here, unhurried, for over a decade.

Come in. Lie down.
